CSR and ESG in Internal Communications in 2023

Communicating our clients’ Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles have been the focus of much of the work we’ve done in 2023.

What’s driving the focus on these themes?  Employees are looking for purpose beyond their defined job roles—they want to be part of a company that aligns with their values. And potential recruits are increasingly drawn to companies that prioritise making a positive impact on society and the environment. They want to contribute to a greater good, and be part of initiatives that create tangible positive change.

For us, it’s provided the opportunity to do what we do best - powerful storytelling that engages hearts and minds and actually moves people.

Identity is intertwined with the workplace. We’ve had the pleasure of uncovering real stories from every part of our clients’ organisations, and bringing genuine experiences to life that resonate with a wider audience. We know that employees thrive in environments where their beliefs are acknowledged, respected, and reflected in the company's values and actions. Feeling valued and understood in this way fosters a sense of belonging and loyalty.

So it’s been incredibly satisfying for us to be able to bring these experiences to the fore and contribute to a sense of pride and belonging among employees during 2023, while helping our clients embed their strategic initiatives.

Looking ahead to 2024, we don’t see this changing. In fact there’s potential for an even greater focus on the relationship between personal principles and professional endeavours, and we look forward to playing our part in creating an environment where employees are not just workers but advocates and champions of their employer's values, driving success and societal impact hand in hand
